DIAMOND WEDDING
PRODUCTS USED:
290260 - Cricut machine
P89000 - Paper Company 12 x 12" spectrum cardstock
Gold mirri card.
HOW TO MAKE:
1. Place gold mirri card on to your cricut mat. Load your card into your machine and using the 1” sized heart cut as many as required. Then repeat this but add the shadow feature before cutting; e.g if you require 12 hearts press the heart button twelve times and press cut. Then press the shadow feature button, the repeat last button and cut.
2. Repeat this entire process using the red cardstock.
3. Place the 1” red hearts on top of the gold “shadow” hearts and the gold1” hearts on the red “shadow hearts.
3. Using your cricut trimmer cut two strips of black cardstock 12” long by 1.1” deep. Stick the hearts along the black strips of card placing one the right way up and then the next upside down and continue this to the end of the strip. Then cut around the hearts leaving a narrow black border. Repeat on the second strip.
4.Cut 2” and 3” diamonds out of black cardstock and stick down the left and right hand sides of your background page. (It is easier to start with your centre diamond and work up and down from there.)
5.Attach the heart borders along the top and bottom of your page.
6. Mat your photograph onto gold mirri card and stick to the centre of your page.
7. Cut your “Diamond Wedding “ letters in 1” black letters and cut the names out of the same black card but add the “shadow” feature.
8. Repeat this in white but cut out the “diamond wedding” with the “shadow” feature and the names in the regular 1” size. Attach the black letters to the white shadow letters and vice versa. (This is easier if your cardstock is already sticky - see notes on 'Through the eyes of a child' scrapbooking page.)
Attach to your page.
9.Put your size dial on to the 2” setting and add the “signpost feature.
Enter the dates and “love” and cut these out.
Remove the numbers and letters from the centre of the signpost and attach them to the centre of the hearts on the borders.
10. Change the size to 1” on the dial but leave the sign feature on and using the heart button cut as many as you require for you background.
11. Sit back and admire your handywork!
N.B By using the signpost feature you can create other sizes of fonts or shapes as the “Dial” size is calculated from the highest to the lowest point of the feature.
