HOW TO MAKE:
1.Using your navy cardstock create a greetings card 6” by 5” and then cover completely with the holiday joy blue paper. Next cut a piece of the holiday joy mini dots 10” long by 5” wide and tear one of the short edges to reveal the white core. Ink along all the edges with a red ink pad including the torn edge. Create an overlay for your card. The red torn edge should appear half way down the front of your card.
2. Load the cricut machine with the Christmas cheer cartridge. Take your holiday sentiments, holiday joy red and silver mirri card and cut a 2” by 6” strip of each of them onto your cricut mat (remember to always align them to the bottom left hand corner of your mat and after loading your mat move the blade with the directional arrow buttons to the top right hand corner of your paper and “set paper size”). Set your pressure to high your blade depth to 5 and your size to 1.5” and cut merry Christmas out of your holiday sentiments paper. Move your blade to the red paper on your mat, add the shadow feature press repeat last and cut. This will create a perfect shadow for your merry Christmas. Change your pressure to max and your blade depth to 6 and repeat the shadow on the silver mirri card. Stick the holiday sentiments merry Christmas to the red shadow and then adhere that to the silver mirri card merry Christmas but slightly offset it so that you can see the silver mirri card.
3. Using the ornaments button on the cricut machine and the ornaments paper cut two sets out in a 2 “ size. Then repeat this on silver mirri card and use the shadow feature. Then cut one ornament 2 in the ornament paper and create a shadow using the red paper. Layer these together .
4. Using the peel off borders place three strips across the card approx 1” from the bottom of the card. Attach pieces of the narrowest peel offs to the ornaments and place them on the card so that they give the appearance of hanging from the wording.
5. Finally decorate the card by placing hero arts gems on the Christmas and the ornaments to add a little bit of Christmas sparkle.
