HOW TO MAKE: 1. Cut a piece of silver mirri card to fit your cricut mat (if your card is not 12” by 6” then line it up to the bottom left hand corner of your mat and load into the cricut. Then use the directional arrows around the cut button to move the blade until in reaches the top right hand corner of your card and then press the cut paper size button.) 2. Set your pressure dial on max and your depth of blade on 6.Enter a sleigh in 1.25” and press cut. Next enter tree 2 twice, set the size dial to 2” and cut. Then tree 2 four times with the size dial on 1.25” and finally tree 2 twice with the size dial on 1”. 3. Next enter tree number 3 and cut three of these in a 1” size. 4. Reduce the pressure on your blade to high and your blade depth to 5 and repeat stages two and three using the holiday mini dot paper. 5. Tear strips of the holiday blue and holiday blue swirl paper and ink the white edges. Add adhesive using the xyron machine and layer on to the bottom of your card. 6. Cut a 1.25” sleigh out of silver mirri card and an overlay in brown card (press the shift button and the sleigh to create an overlay). 7. Cut a 1.25” santa out of the red card and the overlay out of white card. Stick together. 8.Place the santa on the card and stick the sleigh over the top so that he appears to be sitting in it. 9. Cut two of each of the three different reindeer in a 1” size. If you find that your paper is tearing reduce your pressure and your blade depth and re-cut. Stick these on to your card so that they appear to be pulling the sleigh across the sky. Using a fine metallic pen join them together to give the appearance of reigns. 10. Finally add the Hero arts self adhesive gems to the card to create your night sky. Top Tip: If you are having difficulty sticking all the small pieces together make your paper sticky first by using the xyron machine but you must then use an old cricut mat (one that has lost its stickiness). |
