HOW TO MAKE:
1. Cut all ten pieces of cardstock 20cm wide by 15cm deep.
2. Score vertically down the centre of each piece.
3. Choose five pieces to become the window sections and five for the backgrounds.
4. Using the centre score line as your guide, measure 3 cm down from the top and up from the bottom of your card. Then using your score line as your centre point measure 5cm to the right of your 3cm mark and then 5cm to the left of your 3cm mark, top and bottom.
5. Using your ruler and your craft knife join the marks and cut to create your window.
6. Repeat this on all five pieces of window cards. You can either measure them all, or use your first one as your template for the rest.
7. Once you have cut all your squares take your bone folder and create two more vertical lines on the window cards. Line your ruler up to the outside edges of the window and score the full depth of the card.
8. Take your window sections and fold the two score lines you have just created into valley folds and your original centre line into a mountain fold. Repeat on all five window sections.
9. Using double sided tape on the left and right outside edges attach each of the window sections to their co-ordinated card.
10. Using the decorative primavera papers cut five pieces 8.5cms wide by 9cms deep to fit inside the windows.
11. Either using a pattern from the papers or a punch cut a piece to hang inside each window. To give this some depth and to cover the back of the ribbon cut a second identical shape from card. Stick the two together with a piece of thin ribbon in between. Attach this to the back of the centre score ine in each window section.
12. Using the patterned papers decorate around the window.
13. Attach each decorated section to each other.
14. Attach two pieces of medium width ribbon to the front and back covers of the card.
15. Cover the two outer sections with decorative paper.
16. Give to someone very special who will appreciate the time and effort you have taken to make it.
