Step by step.
1. Cut a piece of your blue metallic card into 4” strips.
2. Score two of the strips vertically at 4” increments. Fold and crease well.
3. Cut six squares from the blue card just less than 4”.
4. Cut eight hinges using the template and score horizontally across the centre from point to point. Fold and crease well.
5. Put double sided tape on one half section of all your hinges and attach a hinge to each outside edge of one of your scored strips. Turn over and put double sided tape on the hinges on one end section and the centre section (there should be five in all).
6. Take three of the squares of blue cardstock and attach one on each of the sections that have the hinges attached.
7. Remove the tape from the other side of hinges and stick the unhinged strip to the hinges strip to create your cube. The top of your cube is the section with the hinges that have no double sided tape on them.
8. Use the other three blue squares to cover the hinges on the inside of your box.
9. Decorate the inside and the outside of your cube with the remainder of your metallic card and patterned papers.
10. Add photos to the cube and attach two fabric buttons to the lid of the cube for easy opening.
Top Tip: You could put a gift in the cube or use it as a storage box for more photos or add a couple of Jacobs ladders.
