HOW TO MAKE:
1.Choose the colours of cardstock you require for your project and place on your cricut mat. (you will need two sheets of four different colours.
2. Cut out four rectangles from each colour using your cricut machine. These need to be 5.5” (the largest size on your dial.)
3. Stick two of these rectangles together back to back (alternate colours if required) Repeat until you have eight separate double sided rectangles. These will become the inside pages of your brag book.
4. Cut out two rectangles 6” by 4” from the thick white cardstock using your cricut trimmer. Cover the outside of these with your choice of paper from the “beyond birthdays” paper pad and line the inside of them with a co-ordinating design. These then become the front and the back of your brag book.
5.Using the silent setter and the largest size of eyelets create two holes in the front and back covers and also the inside pages of your book. (Do the front cover first and the use these holes as a template for all your other pieces to ensure that they all line up.
6.Using the same coloured cardstock as you have used for your inside pages cut out the words brag book in 1” letters using your cricut machine and then shadow them in a co-ordinating colour. Layer these letters together and attach to the front of your book. Brag goes horizontally across and book goes diagonally across. Cut two 1”flowers and again a shadow for these. Using the signpost feature on a 1” setting cut out two circles. These will become the centres of your flowers. Layer each set of flowers on top of each other and add the circle as your centre. Finish off with a gemstone. Attach to your front cover. To create the butterfly cut out a narrow oval in a 1” size and then cut out two different sizes of hearts within the signpost feature, four in a 1” size and four in a 1.25” size. Layer one on top of the other and use them as the wings for your butterfly. Place the 1” narrow oval that you have just cut over the top of these wings and add a gem for the butterflies head.
7.Using the extra two sets of hearts place them behind your flowers to create the look of a leaf.
8.Cut two 1” hearts and attach to your cover down the right hand side in between brag and book.
9. Using your clip rings attach the inside pages to the front and back covers and decorate them with different widths of sheer ribbon.
10. Decorate the inside of your brag book using photos, and journal to create a very special momento of a very special occasion, birth, holiday or anything you would like. Much nicer that a tatty packet of photos.
